The staff were quick to respond and friendly, even tossing in some freebies. However, the train station instructions were confusing because they assumed we’d exit from platform 1, while we actually got off at platform 2, making it hard to find our way with large bags and no lift. The shower room felt a bit cramped as well.

“A very nice base for your stay. If there is a room, take it!”

This place is ideal for a visit, just a short walk from the train and two free elevators in town. Nearby restaurants are great, and the terrace offers a lovely evening view. The room was freshly redecorated, spotless, and the hosts were welcoming and very helpful.

“A wonderful 4 night stay.”

Everything was flawless: the owners greeted us with a local wine bottle, a bowl of grapes from their own vines, and a pleasant chat the night before departure. The room was immaculate, fully equipped with a coffee machine, and the small terrace’s view was perfect for long, relaxed evenings. Located above the town in a quiet spot, public lifts—free for us—made it easy to descend to the centre if we didn’t want to climb the steps. I couldn’t recommend Alla Ripa di Rio more highly; it was a wonderful stay with no complaints.

“Great location fantastic host”

The spot is fantastic, and the host was very responsive, sending clear, helpful video instructions on how to get there. The room was clean and comfortable, the area quiet with a stunning view, and a lift nearby meant restaurants were just minutes away. Access to the marina was easy and close by.
