Located in Heimburg, Landgasthaus Zander offers peaceful surroundings amidst the Harz countryside. Classically furnished rooms feature private bathrooms and satellite TV. The hotel is 200 metres from Altenburg Castle and 1 km from the Ziegenberg Nature Reserve, with Wernigerode's centre 10 km away, accessible via a sunny outdoor terrace.

The room was clean and very cozy, and we slept great. Breakfast was simply perfect. And as suggested, please provide a cookbook about the delicious dinner! The restaurant was closed on Wednesday and Thursday evenings, so it was hard to find something nearby… but one must understand the staff shortage.
