I booked after trying the kaiseki and breakfast, and my parents were also satisfied, full and happy with the food. I thought the food would be brought to the room, but I was directed to a restaurant in a room‑style layout. At first I was a bit confused, but the room didn’t smell like food, which was nice. The bedding in the room was fluffy and I slept well. The staff were incredibly friendly. The lack of a private bathroom meant I was told I could use the public bath and the family bath, but since our tourist schedule was similar, we never got to see the family bath. The public bath had almost no people, and because it’s an old onsen, there’s no hotel‑style sauna or cold bath; there are two baths, one indoor and one outdoor. Also, due to the tatami in the room, there’s a distinct smell that’s a bit noticeable.
