The beds were comfortable. I was told I’d pay £210, but on arrival the hotel charged £235 without a deposit. It’s no better than a Premier Inn or an ibis. The bedroom carpets were stained, and we paid extra for a city view that never materialised—only construction and building work. Breakfast was terrible for the price: bacon tasted like charcoal, mushrooms were undercooked, and sausages were burnt. I won’t stay here again.

The location is great, close to Manchester City. The £30 property damage deposit was the biggest let‑down; it felt unnecessary and cheap, as if the hotel was looking for excuses to charge for minor issues. I was surprised to find several minor damages in the room, which made me worry that the deposit could have been used to cover them.

I wasn’t impressed—there was barely any cut‑up fruit, which I love. The reception man was not very nice. The bed was too close to the wall, so I kept banging my legs on the corner. The sink was blocked and water took a long time to drain. The shower wasn’t hot enough or powerful.
