“Supergruselig!”
The room was very clean and modernly furnished, but it had no window. A glass pane with curtains faced a narrow hallway with no daylight, where lights stayed on all night, which was super creepy because you could see into the hallway from the room. The curtains had to be opened to avoid feeling watched. We felt very uncomfortable. When we woke up, we couldn’t tell if it was 4 am or 9 am because there was no daylight. Other guests told us they had the same experience, so there are likely other rooms without windows. Paying 250 € for two nights isn’t cheap. Is it even legal in Europe to rent out a room like that? The hotel itself feels spooky, located in a large building with a gym downstairs, empty space above, still elevators, and a freight elevator. When you arrive, you first think “wait, what?” and wonder if you got the address wrong. The hotel isn’t signposted from above; you only see a banner when you stand in a large, bare entrance hall. The staff are oddly indifferent. Our towels weren’t changed, which was bad because we spent two days at the beach. We wouldn’t return or recommend the hotel, only for adventurers with a high pain threshold and no fear of the macabre.
