Cheap and cheerful, the public house vibe makes it great for before‑bed beers. The bed was comfortable and there was ample space. It’s close to Hoole and the city of Chester. The room was creaky like an old pub and the water pressure was quite frankly… crap. There was no soap in the dispensary and no shampoo or body wash to be seen.

Great location near the zoo and quite cheap with a decent‑sized room. The window couldn’t close, so it was absolutely freezing and there was no way to turn the heating on in the evening at 001.

We never actually stayed; just saw the photos of how we walked into our room. We walked into a room that wasn’t finished, smelled like bleach, had no windows, and I have asthma so I couldn’t breathe. We had to leave and go back to London because it was unbearable.
