Luxurious rooms feature flat-screen TVs, designer toiletries, and free access to the Leisure Club with pool, sauna, gym, and steam room. The hotel is a 5-minute walk from Blue Flag Mulranny Beach and 15 minutes from Achill Island.

Breakfast was wonderful, especially when seated by the windows—it was a real treat. The staff were the highlight, extremely positive and friendly, which was great to see. I felt the bar was too prominent upon arrival; arriving a bit late made it feel a bit intimidating or just unexpected as we entered the property.

The room was decent, parking was easy, and breakfast was lovely. I couldn’t get the water heater to work, so I had to call reception; unfortunately, the TV was poor, lacking Sky and other channels.

There wasn’t much I liked, but the hotel has good bones and a good location, though it needs major remodeling and renovation everywhere. Employees are nice and accommodating with what they have to work with. I have too many complaints to list, but a few stand out: the facility is completely outdated; the bathroom in my room was a joke—moldy grout around the tub, missing grout on the floor, stains on the walls, spiders and webs on the window, stained sheets that the front desk had to change. The window could only open 1 inch because the rails were broken—zoom on the pictures to see. The restaurants and food were a disaster; I felt like I was transported back to the 90s. Breakfast was bad—none of the pastries were good, scones were terrible. We’re in Ireland, so making a good scone isn’t hard. This place is a disgrace to hospitality, unfair to the staff. Ownership needs to invest quickly to bring the property up to an acceptable level and improve employee training; many had good intentions but no direction or leadership.

The rooms were very comfortable, the breakfast was excellent, and every staff member was helpful and courteous, especially a lovely lady named Alice.
