The wait staff at the restaurant were friendly and pleasant, but the front‑desk staff were standoffish and somewhat confrontational. We were assigned to the annex building, yet the drive to it was blocked by construction and the path was poorly marked and not very safe—an 18‑wheel truck nearly blocked the way in the morning. The $25 breakfast buffet was no better than the free one at Super 8 in High Level.

The property was convenient and the staff were helpful and pleasant, but the rooms were incredibly dirty for a new hotel—hair everywhere, baseboards never cleaned, and the beds were small.

After 25 years I finally visited YK; when I came, the neighboring Explorer was still there, but this hotel didn’t exist yet. The new facilities were clean and the restaurant food was delicious.
