“Uncomfortable room overgrown and unkept exterior.”
The location was convenient, but there was no staff in the lobby— the sign only says “ring bell during office hours” without specifying the hours, and the office is always closed. Calling the phone number sounds like you’re waking someone up, yet the person never comes to the office to help. The internet is almost nonexistent. The front door of the cottage has non‑glare plastic on the windows, letting in bright sunlight from early morning until late evening, making it hard to sleep without a dark room; when I asked for a curtain they suggested hanging a towel or sheet. The room is littered with signs listing prohibited actions and fines, yet they never enforce them. The shower is so small that you can’t bend over, and for taller guests the shower head is at chest height. It’s certainly not good value for the high price. There’s a charge if you don’t return both keys, but the office is closed so you have to drop the keys in a mailbox, which feels insecure. Compared to other boutique hotels I’ve stayed at, this place is poorly maintained, the grounds aren’t kept up, and there’s no garden to stroll through.
