The nearby golf course and 40‑minute drive to Kumamoto Airport enhance accessibility.

The breakfast buffet had a wide variety of tasty dishes, and the evening buffet let me eat as many crabs as I wanted. After bathing in the large pool at night, I was shocked to find no water to drink; the paper cups were labeled “this tap water is safe to drink,” so I had to drink lukewarm sink water. From the next day onward, I had to bring a thermos of cold water for the evening bath, which was very disappointing. On the bright side, the outdoor open-air bath that men could use in the morning had cold and hot drinking water.

The hot spring, scenery, and meals—both breakfast and dinner—were all good. The only downside was that the outdoor bath wasn’t gender‑separated; it would have been better if it were available to everyone all the time.

The large public bath was great, but the room was old and small.

The staff were very friendly and provided pleasant service. The buffet quality was outstanding, and the food was superbly delicious. We stayed for two nights and had a comfortable, enjoyable trip. Thank you for everything; I’d love to stay again when I visit Aso. The only issue was that one of the open‑air baths was under renovation, so men and women could only use it during alternating mornings and evenings. Knowing this beforehand made it tolerable, but it would have been nicer if men could also enjoy the open‑air bath at night. Men used the open‑air bath in the morning.
