Jasper Gates Resort, nestled at the base of a mountain, offers rustic log cabins and motel accommodations 60 km from Jasper town. Rooms feature flat-screen TVs with satellite channels, private bathrooms with showers, and some have seating areas. Movie rentals are available on-site. Hinton town centre is a 10-minute drive away, offering WiFi access.

The room was spacious with a handy kitchenette, fridge, cookware, and a cable TV—great for staying warm indoors. The Folding Mountain Brewery is just a 2‑minute walk away and the location is close to Miette Hot Springs; we’d have loved to stay longer. I found the brown towels odd, but they fit the theme. It would be nice to have hot tubs and a communal fire pit someday.

To shop and fill up on cheap gas, you have to go to Hinton. The room is pretty and well‑equipped with a fridge, stove, and microwave. It’s too close to the road, so there’s a lot of traffic noise. At 199 € per night, it’s pricey.

This spot matched our expectations perfectly during our Calgary‑to‑Vancouver road trip. The bed was comfy, the bathroom adequate, and the small kitchen had the basics. The staff were amazing—always ready to help without being overbearing—and the grounds were stunning. No complaints at all.
