“For horse lovers the place to be.”

The rooms were tidy, breakfast was simple but good, and the horses were right next door, but the bathroom was cold.

- The guesthouse (Cottage 1) was clean and had a nice bathroom. - The surrounding scenery was beautiful with horses evrywehere. - The checkin process was easy. - The guesthouse felt like a small shipping container converted into an apartment. - The shower was very finnicky, either very cold, or very hold and was very hard to tune right. - Each room only had a single bed and there wasn't even enough space to open your luggage

“A little out of the way, but very relaxing and comfortable.”

We stayed in the second‑floor suite of the main house, a beautiful room with a bathroom, comfortable and relaxing, featuring horse artwork in the room and hallways; we also walked to the stables, which were clean and in excellent condition. The staff who ran breakfast the next morning were polite and helpful, even cutting apples for me and filling my travel mug with hot tea. The soaking tub in the bathroom was tempting, but I couldn’t use it properly because the drain plug seemed broken and wouldn’t hold water unless I held it down; I suspect the owner is unaware, though everything else was in perfect working order and will likely be fixed once they know.

“Style over substance”

The design of the accommodation was solid at first, breakfast was acceptable, but the shaded areas were dusty, the sheets were unironised, mould appeared in the shower tray, we weren’t greeted personally and only met a young man who served breakfast, and compared to other guesthouses that offered a warm welcome and thoughtful touches, it felt like this place was just a money‑making venture with little family care.
