“Great location, lovely facility and ethics!”
I came to Viva Tanzania after a 10‑day safari; it was a lovely place to catch my breath (and to not be moving or in transit) for 2 days. I was also recovering from a nasty cold, so it was great to have a comfortable and quiet space to rest and recuperate. They offer a spa and massage, the swimming pool and the rooftop bar, all were nice to enjoy even as a solo traveller. Everyone was welcoming and happy to assist if needed. And it’s nice that they are so conscientious about sustainability and of course they assist with volunteering programs, so it was also nice to be able to buy some lovely things for souvenirs that also assisted programs empowering women and local communities. I really like a hot shower and this didn’t happen. The temperature in Arusha at the time was quite warm so I didn’t ask anyone to fix it, also thought it seemed to be a temperature setting and maybe related to sustainability practices. But I didn’t check so that’s kind of on me, ay?
