Staying at Retro Kampot was a beautiful and unique experience. It let me slow down and see a more authentic side of Cambodian life. The house has so much character and charm, and the girls were incredibly kind, welcoming, and helpful throughout my stay. There’s also a cat and bunnies roaming free around the house, and I loved spending the afternoon relaxing in the hammock.

A beautiful homestay by the river, you can get a kayak for free and do the scenic loop on your own. The rooms are cute and quiet, with plenty of spots to unwind, like a hammock and comfy chairs. You can rent a bike and grab a ride to the city if needed. The staff are the most amazing—so nice and welcoming. The food is also so yummy!!! Thanks for everything; if we return to Kampot we’ll definitely book here again. Everything is great.

The location right on the Green Loop (Green Cathedral) is great. We love kayaking, which is why we came here. For sunset you can paddle to the main river in 10 minutes (very, very beautiful). The guesthouse is a small oasis to relax and slow down. Breakfast and meals are very good. The whole team were super nice. Monika is very helpful and can organize tours and outings on request.

A great spot to stay for 2‑3 nights; they even offer free kayaks to paddle around the river. Breakfasts are excellent, especially the chocolate pancakes.
