“Sehr angenehmen Aufenthalt, ruhige Umgebung, doch nicht weit von andere Touristenpunkte.”
Die Lage war aussergewöhnlich schön, genauso wie ich mir für meinen Urlaub gedacht hatte. Kontakt zum Team war unkompliziert. Es war alles wie in der Anzeige beschrieben
“Für die Durchreise überraschend gut”
Check‑in and check‑out were straightforward. We arrived in the dark, so it was hard to see where we had to go; more lighting would help, and better signage would be appreciated.
The room was clean. There was no dishware.
“Absolut preiswerte Übernachtungsmöglichkeit”
The rooms were clean, the bathroom was new, the fridge worked (the kitchenette wasn’t finished yet), the furniture was still old but acceptable. The building was still under construction, yet at night it was completely quiet. We only needed the rooms for a layover and were very happy with the €25 per person price. Even budget‑conscious hikers would find this place worthwhile. For the price there was nothing to complain about, and even the Wi‑LAN worked. :-)
I have to say we were already a bit uneasy because nobody from the accommodation communicated with us. We travel all over Europe and usually get instructions from the host beforehand or at least a few hours the day of arrival, but here no one reached out. With a slightly odd feeling, we went to the address listed on Booking. When we arrived, we were shocked to see construction material everywhere and the reception had turned into a construction site with a few craftsmen who showed no interest in us. We decided to send a WhatsApp and SMS to the contact given. We waited three hours and got nothing. Nobody from Booking could get the provider to contact us either. Finally, we called the phone number – we only know a few German words, so that’s exactly what you don’t want, dealing with something over the phone in a language you can’t agree on, so we use Booking to avoid this. The lady told us in English that the room was ready and the key was somewhere, so we could find it. So we went through the construction site to the back where we guessed there might be functional rooms. The key was nowhere, so we went up to the floor. After a while, one of the craftsmen ran over and brought us the key. The door label had another person’s name and the lady said it was fine. So we could finally check in after four hours. The room was relatively tidy except the bathroom was full of construction dust. There is a stove in the kitchenette, but that’s it. You can’t find any kitchen equipment. In the cupboard there was one mug and a spoon, which I think the craftsman left there before us. The fridge was full of grime and definitely needs cleaning. The possibility of grilling, etc., obviously doesn’t apply because of the construction site. Wi‑Fi is non‑functional, it says it can’t connect to the internet. It’s nice that the “hotel” tries to fix things, but the information on Booking definitely needs to be updated, and I won’t even talk about the insane communication.
