“Manor House, Haltwhistle.”
The venue is great, the staff at the Manor House are lovely, the facilities are excellent, the room and en‑suite are really clean, and the food here is excellent. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ No complaints at all, everything is good.
The steak and ale pie were excellent, the room was comfortable, and the location was convenient for both Hadrian's Wall and the Pennine Way, though the payment process for a new owner was a bit confusing.
A good spot if you’re hiking or cycling along Hadrian's Wall.
I couldn't write a review because the hotel was double‑booked and we ended up staying across the road instead.
“Clean, spacious, very comfy bed. Good location.”
The period property was lovely and the room was very spacious with a nice breakfast, but being charged £20 for my small dog—an extra fee that wasn’t listed—felt extortionate compared to the £10 I pay elsewhere. The front‑desk man asked if I was okay with the cost while I was already waiting for my key, speaking too fast and over the top; a calmer approach would have helped. The vegetarian breakfast omitted spinach as advertised and lacked the promised scrambled tofu, and the bar closed at 9 pm, forcing us to go to the pub a block away.
