Hot water in the bathroom is a basic, mandatory amenity that every hotel must provide, yet the water in the bathroom was barely warm, which was very disappointing. The shower rods looked rusty or dirty, and there was no hot water in the shower; when I asked, they checked on it, and it almost seemed like they initially played along but later emailed me saying everything was fine in the room.

The self‑check‑in was very convenient and the door codes to everything felt very safe. Our air‑conditioning unit leaked yellow goo down the wall, and there was a light outside the window that was part of the building, not a street light, that stayed on all night and illuminated our room. It was harsh light all night, and there were no blackout curtains, only broken blinds.

The room felt quaint and the coffee and water were easily available, but the acoustics were awful; noises from neighboring rooms on the side and above, plus outside sounds, made it hard to sleep.

I appreciated that it was an old boutique hotel, but I didn't feel safe sleeping there because homeless people were just 5 feet from my bed. The walls and windows were thin, so the noise inside the room was overwhelming. The blinds were terrible, letting in light, and there was no designated parking so we had to park blocks away.
