Great location. Breakfast was good. Parking was far from the accommodation. We booked at an address that said parking was next to the hotel, but they sent us to another location far from the parking.

Hotel Tierra Gaucha, a boutique property in San Carlos de Bariloche, sits just 50 m from Lake Nahuel Huapi and 300 m from the civic center. Rooms feature private bathrooms, safes, wardrobes, heating, and select lake views. The 24‑hour reception offers local insights, while the waterfront location and proximity to the airport (12 km) make it ideal for travelers seeking convenience and scenic charm.

We rented this place, but at the time they sent us to another hotel that was under renovation. The parking was only a two‑block walk away and it was very rainy.

They changed our hotel and the new one didn’t have an extra blanket; my daughters were cold and there was no hot water for a shower.

The location is ideal for parking and walking around the city center, everything is very clean and there’s an excellent lake view.

I was assigned a spacious room in a five‑storey hotel that sits 200 meters from a large lake, and the rooms have lake views. The city centre starts just on the next street, and a big supermarket is also 200 meters away; the same street hosts many shops, cafés, banks and outdoor‑gear rentals, plus a place where you can buy a prepaid SIM card. Gas stations and other tourist conveniences are close by, and a major ski resort is 25 km away. The room came with a double bed and a fully equipped bathroom. The front desk staff speak English and are very friendly; there’s a hot‑and‑cold water dispenser near the desk and you can ask the staff for dishes. The buffet breakfast is modest but adequate. The hotel offers its own parking lot, which is a real plus in Bariloche where parking is hard to find. I didn’t encounter anything I didn’t like, except for a warning: Argentina uses special electrical outlets, so bring the right adapters. For mobile phones, grab a “Claro” prepaid SIM at the point of sale; “Personal” cards are only for Argentines and are a headache for foreigners, requiring registration at an official office where staff rarely speak English and are unfriendly, so you risk not registering the card and losing your money—definitely a downside.
