The staff were very friendly, helpful and kind, and the breakfast was huge. The only issue was that the door to our room didn’t close properly and was easy to open even when locked, but that didn’t bother us.

The owner had renovated the place less than a year ago, the room was simple but cozy. The front patio was just as welcoming and beautiful, making us feel at home. There was also a small external tub in the private patio, surrounded by plants. The location is excellent, away from traffic and smog, and you’re only two minutes on foot to Gampola centre. The owner is extremely kind and helpful, always ready to meet guests’ requests, not to mention the breakfast he prepares each morning… carefully selected, both Western and local. Highly recommended on every front!

We spent one night in La Pinchi’s room in July. We chose the upstairs room, which is smaller but perfectly fine and has a very cool architecture and design inside that’s even more impressive when you realize it’s made from local and recycled materials. So smart! The owner gave us nice advice and prepared breakfast with care: there were sandwiches, some sweet bread, bananas and so on… I could even try a curry made from jackfruit seeds that I never found anywhere else :) Wish all the luck to La Pinchi’s. We found it in good shape already even though we learned about the severe flooding of 25 nov.

It’s very lovingly designed and the host is super nice. We chose it because it’s really clean and it’s right on the street to the tower. The breakfast is very tasty; there were several items like stuffed toast with egg and vegetables, rice, sweet rolls and other things whose name I don’t know. For showing us the damage he had from the storm in Dec ’25, you can’t really complain!! I can only recommend it.
