The villa, Maison Rouge, is truly stunning, with an amazing pool and breathtaking sunset views that far outshine the rest of the experience. The surrounding countryside is gorgeous and dotted with impressive art installations, making the setting feel almost otherworldly. However, the dining fell short of that level of excellence. The restaurant offered only four main‑course options, leaving me, a pescetarian, with just two choices. On the first night I asked about the fish of the day, and the waiter dismissed it as “just ok fish isn’t my thing,” so I settled for risotto. The next evening I requested a substitution on the fish, but they refused, forcing me to order the same dish again. Desserts were also disappointing. We never received any check‑in information; we were simply dropped off by a buggy at the villa, unaware of the food options or where anything was located. After two days we discovered a games room with a pool table, which would have been useful to know about earlier. Breakfast was under‑staffed and not up to par either.
