A very special place! We only wish we had spent more days here. The vibe was incredibly authentic. Everyone should experience a similar French manor at some point. It was wonderful! We’ll come back. On the downside, on the upper floor several rooms share a single bathroom, which is common in similar venues. I thought it might be annoying, but it ended up being fine. Everything was super clean all the time, and guests never disturbed each other.

Warm welcome. Relaxing setting, quiet spot. Owners were available. Breakfast was hearty but only sweet; a little savory touch (charcuterie, cheese) would have been nice. Some concern about the shared bathroom and toilets, which could cause problems for someone with a fragile health condition or temporarily low immunity.

We really loved our stay at Chateau de Fortis. The owners’ never‑intrusive hospitality made us feel at home right away, and being able to enjoy every corner of the chateau helped create many pleasant shared moments. The rooms are spacious and well furnished, and the park is magnificent. We hope to return soon to this little paradise.

The setting is nice. The description should clarify that the bathroom/toilets are not in the rooms, as that’s important.
