“Nice view, average cabin”
I liked the setting and the view, but it isn’t completely private. It was still very quiet and peaceful. The ceilings in the bedroom were really low, so my mum, who is 5 foot 3, hit her head hard because she couldn’t stand straight. The staircase was dangerous and not suitable for children, the elderly, or anyone with mobility issues, which was a problem for my mum who has mobility issues. The bed creaked every time we moved, waking us up, so I ended up in the single bed and my mum slept upright on the sofa. We couldn’t get the fridge to work after 20 minutes of following the instructions on the sheet in the cabin. There was no tea or milk, so a long‑life milk and tea bags would have been useful. Finding and entering the cabin wasn’t too bad, so I didn’t have to call anyone, but I doubt I’ll return. I’ve stayed in nicer cabins for the same price. It can sleep four, but it’s not suitable for children, and is more appropriate for a girls’ night. We followed the instructions to strip the bed, dispose of rubbish, and leave everything clean and tidy. The recommended pub, The Plough, is good with amazing food and service.
