The hotel’s location was convenient for visiting relatives. The room and bathroom were spacious, very clean, and stocked with plenty of extras—tea, coffee, and toiletries—but a shower holder for soap would have been useful. It was very quiet. We were sent an email the day before arrival telling us to book online with photo ID and passport numbers; ignoring it revealed it was for overseas guests, which could easily confuse or upset people. Reception was empty, which felt unsettling, though a friendly man briefly appeared from an office to show us how to get our key; no other staff were seen. The main issue was the bed: we booked a double, but it was far from that size. I’m a size 8‑10, my husband is average build, and we barely slept because we were afraid to move. Despite the good value, the bed problem makes us seriously question returning.
