Located in Hluhluwe, Gooderson Bushlands Game Lodge borders acres of national park, surrounded by picturesque African bush, a short drive from Durban. The lodge features air-conditioned rooms with bathrooms, connected to a bar and pool via wooden walkways. Self-catering chalets offer catering facilities and pre-bookable dinner in the lodge's dining room. The lodge is close to Umfolozi Game Reserve, Isimangaliso Wetland Park, and the DumaZulu Cultural Village.

The spot is gorgeous.

The property was well allocated and private, the view was excellent. The game drive driver, Mr Ndlovu was well organized and excellent. The reception staff was not well organized,their communication was very poor. The bedding facilities need to be improved when it's come to pillows and mattress protectors was not used. The veranda floor was dirty

The staff was very helpful. The place was decent but they did not have a backup power for when there is power cuts. That is the minimum for a hotel or lodge in South Africa. There was no assistance at the gate to open up. The gate had a non functioning motor to open. I had to walk in mud and rain to open up for myself. That was horrific
