The hosts were friendly and I received some Oshima dairy ice cream, which was delicious. I had imagined a typical island homestay, but it was very tidy and clean, so it’s a good pick for neat‑lovers. The location is great. Moving around the island is easiest by rental car or bike, and there was a parking space, which was convenient.

The property faces the Oshima loop road but stays quiet. I remembered the building’s photo, so I found it right away. Parking was available, so driving a rental car was fine. A supermarket is within walking distance, which is handy. A staff member at the front desk helped me check in smoothly. The shared toilet (two on the second floor, one male and one female) has a fridge, microwave, and bathroom. Each room has an electric kettle and a TV. The semi‑double bed was a bit cramped for two people, even though I knew that before booking. There was bedding in the closet, but no sheets, so I didn’t use it. I wondered if the price would change if I used that bedding, but I didn’t have time to check, so I just slept on the bed.

The private room let me relax, and I liked having a separate sink. The bathroom lacked a storage area, so I wasn’t sure where to put things. The surface above the washing machine looked dirty, so another table would be nice. I also felt the sound echoing, even with earplugs in the room.
