“Easy stop-over seaside cabin for pet-lovers!”
The view from my room was lovely, right at the ocean—though not the cabin directly on the edge, which made sense since I booked last minute. Check‑in was quick and easy, just a few minutes wait, and the AC worked well. The porch had a lounge chair and I spent most of my time there, enjoying the view. The staff cared for a bunch of animals around the property, which was sweet for animal lovers. The beach right outside is actually really fun for rock‑pooling and exploring with proper shoes, though it’s not a swimming beach IMO. If you’re staying in Jagna, Kinahugan Falls is a nearby waterfall worth checking out. The property overall feels pretty run down, and rooms are basic—comfortable, but basic. There’s no 24‑hour reception, so you need to check in by a certain time since staff are limited. Food was probably my biggest gripe; I tried both dinner and breakfast and neither was really to my taste, wouldn’t order again. No hot water in the shower, just a heads up. If you’re allergic to or uncomfortable around animals, you might struggle since pets wander freely through common spaces and furniture. The beach is rocky, not a swimming spot, and I’d be cautious with kids since there are fishing hooks, nets, and some trash around given it’s close to a bigger town. Getting around the property isn’t great for anyone with mobility issues either, lots of steps and an inclined driveway. My room was next to the main road and the noise was pretty loud, especially since there happened to be a festival in town that day with trucks going by. Jagna itself isn’t really a touristy town, more of a stopover than a destination. And honestly, if you don’t have your own scooter, I’d skip this place—the location just doesn’t work well without one.
