Service was very good and friendly, everything was very clean, the pool was nice and large, and it’s very close to the old town; the building is older, giving it the charm of earlier times.

The location is very central; the pool and garden were also very nice, and breakfast was good; however, the furniture and décor are not very modern, leaning more toward a senior’s taste.

The food was excellent and the staff were very friendly; the garden area was nice too; the décor is traditional, not modern, but spotless, so if you prefer modern style it might not suit you.

After 14 years I returned to Hotel Continental and felt just as excited as before; the staff are super friendly, motivated, and very warm toward guests; the housekeeper is always present and approachable for questions, speaking German well; the location is excellent—just a 5‑minute walk to the lake and the town, yet it remains absolutely quiet; the overall calm was extremely relaxing and soothing; the hotel mostly hosted older guests, and neither the pool nor the dining room were noisy; private parking, partly covered, was available and we always got a spot; the furnishings are a bit older but very well maintained and clean, with no scratches or defects, everything in top shape; our bathroom was newly renovated; the room and bathroom size were more than enough for us two; we could rest on the balcony overlooking the pool after a busy day; the pool was very clean, large, and deep enough everywhere, with plenty of loungers in the lovely garden; in front of the hotel, tables and chairs in the front yard allow you to sit without necessarily ordering; breakfast was plentiful for Italian standards, especially the croissants and raisin rolls were excellent; there were also rolls, toast, whole‑grain toast, seed bread, and the usual packaged cookies and rusks; various cakes and sweet treats were present, as were fresh watermelon and pineapple; different types of muesli and grains and two kinds of yogurt completed the spread; salami, ham, cheese, and Camembert were offered, along with scrambled eggs, bacon, boiled eggs, juices from the dispenser, packaged jam, honey, and Nutella, plus butter, margarine, and cream cheese; we will definitely come back.
