Easy to find and walk into town. It’s right on the main highway into town so trucks going by make noise

Getting to the hotel was easy, the price was reasonable, and the spot was convenient, but the photos on the site were misleading and I expected a lake view from my room.

We skipped breakfast at the Sara Placid and instead walked into Saranac Lake, where we found several fantastic coffee shops for morning meals. Our one‑bedroom suite came with a fully equipped kitchen, letting us cook whenever we liked. We dined out once at Hotel Saranac and had lunch on the road each day. We also rode our bikes along the newly finished rail trail that stretches from Tupper Lake to Lake Placid, with the Sara Placid situated right at the halfway point.
