Hotel Pousada Boa Montanha

The location is excellent, close to the city center. The café is simple but good for the price I paid. The view from the back of the lodge is beautiful and well maintained. The shower is very hot. I found the room too small, making it impossible to light a fireplace there. We stayed in room 4, and I smelled smoke in my room because other guests had lit their fireplaces. The lodge felt somewhat abandoned in terms of staff; everything was very open—parking, reception—making it a bit risky.

The location is very good. Communication was basic; I left at 6:00 am and no one told me what the procedures were for leaving at that hour.

The breakfast was delicious: cheese bread, coalhada, coffee, milk, fruit, bread, ham, cheeses, dulce de leche, other sweets, and teas. The mattress was good and the room was clean. Water was hot both in the shower and the sink (gas heating). A rug is missing at the room entrance, since the door leads to an outdoor balcony. The bathroom has a small leak behind the toilet (clean water). The taps need adjustment to better regulate water flow (shower and sink), and the shower exit could have a more evenly spread spray with maintenance on the part.

The fireplaces at the breakfast were great! The coffee was tasty and I loved it. The room was a bit small, but it was fine for staying 2 or 3 days.
