The place was nice and spacious, with everything you need, and it was located quietly away from major roads and traffic. Unfortunately we woke up to dog fights and startled shots at monkeys in the night, but the owners can’t be blamed for that.

The family was super welcoming and friendly, we were received warmly and they cooked delicious meals for us. No comments, everything was exactly as we wanted.

An incredibly friendly family ready to help, the house sits in a beautiful, peaceful setting, and from the veranda you can see the jungle – fantastic. We also enjoyed wonderful dinners and breakfasts, absolutely recommended!

We had a wonderful stay in this small, family‑run bungalow. The view into the trees is lovely, and with a bit of luck you can even spot wildlife. The silence here is priceless and perfect for unwinding; we slept very well, everything is lovingly and detail‑oriented. Traditional Sri Lankan food was incredibly tasty and the breakfast was freshly and locally prepared – a real highlight! The hosts are exceptionally kind, warm, and always helpful. There aren’t many activities nearby, but that’s part of the charm. If you’re looking for peace and a chance to relax, this is the place. We were here on a layover to Sigiriya. All in all a flawless stay – we’ll definitely return.

A perfect stop between Colombo/Negombo and Sigiriya to escape the main road bustle. The cottage is beautiful and spacious with a wooden terrace to sit and breathe fresh air. No air conditioning, but the fan works well in this mountain climate. The meals prepared by the hosts from local ingredients were absolutely incredible – a true special experience! Thank you. If you stay here, book more than one night, otherwise you’ll definitely want more.
