“Great at short notice and price was good. But noise from accommodation upstairs was a pain.”
The spot was convenient, the room was small but fine. The owner was friendly and helpful. For the price and short notice, it was a lovely place by the lake, relaxing, easy to get food down the road, quiet, good views, plenty of parking (we had a big trailer) and the owner was very helpful. The curtains didn’t fit well, there was no extractor in the bathroom, the door lock was just a lightweight latch and couldn’t be deadlocked from inside; other locks didn’t work. The owner’s place was right above, so we heard someone running around until about 11 pm—probably a child. The downstairs noise was loud because we were directly under it. The curtains had a gap on both ends when drawn, which was not good for security or privacy.
