The place is right next to the colonnade, which is handy, but everything else left a lot to be desired. When we arrived there was no hot water until late evening, the lift doors were locked, and breakfast was a disaster – stale week‑old bread, dry eggs that looked like leftovers, a mix of old and fresh salami and veg, and the TV wasn’t even hooked up to an antenna or the internet, so we couldn’t watch anything. I won’t be coming back.

Good price for a hotel that sits right in the city centre, but we were disappointed to find two twin beds instead of the king‑size we’d booked. It felt like a cheap workaround.

The rooms were clean, which was nice, but the check‑in took forever and there was no hairdryer. Unlike other hotels that only asked one guest for ID, they even photographed the passports of the kids.

The hotel’s location is convenient, even if the hill required a bit of a climb, and the room itself was pleasant. Unfortunately the lift broke on the third floor, which was a pain on my freshly operated knee, and despite promises of a quick fix it stayed out of service. I also had to ask for fresh towels after four days.
