Former Ceausescu’s Vila Crizantema in Băile Govora offers guests a unique stay in a historic residence, surrounded by the resort’s thermal springs. Each room features a flat‑screen TV, en‑suite bathroom, and balcony. Outdoor amenities include a barbecue, wood‑fired oven, rooftop sunbeds, table tennis, and a spa with lung therapies. A ground‑floor restaurant and free parking enhance convenience.

The villa’s position was quiet, and the staff were friendly, but they never mentioned that we had free procedures included in the price.

The location was great, the silence, the Crizantema Villa. I wasn’t actually housed in the Crizantema Villa (my fault for not paying close attention during booking). I was placed in an annex of the villa, a space later built for staff or workers. This note is for the property owners and for Booking. The annex is no longer rented out; I paid 420 RON for a basic room with furniture made from a PFL board, a bed, and a dresser. I only stayed one night, had long wanted to visit this place, didn’t see how the villa rooms looked, only saw the exterior. I didn’t find a room in the Crizantema Villa, so I took the annex, thinking it was part of the complex. The price per room in the Crizantema Villa is 420 RON, the annex is also 420 RON. Booking won’t know the difference; the owners do. It’s more like a room offered to people in need or at a modest price of up to 100 RON.

Nice accommodation with an interesting history, period furnishings, pleasantly secluded with parking and outdoor seating. Very helpful staff who accommodated us within the scope of our reservation. We could try local specialties.
