“Tegenvallend”

Breakfast is good, but the room wasn’t what Booking showed; only renovated rooms are pictured. My room was over forty years old, still with old TL lamps. It worked and was clean, but it wasn’t boutique.

“Zum Glück nur zum Schlafen !”

The place sits right on the Mosel and is close to Koblenz, but the room, while spacious enough, is very Spartan (industrial chic) and the bathroom feels cramped. After checking in, it was impossible to get a meal at 20:15; the staff suggested going to Miracoli instead. The rooms are in a side building, the entrance door is always open, there is no elevator, and the hallway feels very cold. The breakfast area has huge tables like a youth hostel, the plastic pens look out of place for the season and should be dusted regularly. The fruit salad appears not fresh, and the juice is slightly cloudy. Parking can be problematic when fully booked. The bathroom is the size of a telephone booth (1.3 m × 1.3 m); the sink is too small, the drain cannot be blocked, and it’s hard to reach because of a shelf above. The shower tap is stylish but not functional—soap on the hands makes the knob hard to turn. Style over function.

“Licht und Schatten”

The room’s size, layout, and furnishings are fine, and there’s a parking spot at the house. The bathroom sink was dirty, and the receptionist wasn’t very friendly—there’s room for improvement.

The rooms are newly renovated, very tasteful and modern. The breakfast is tasty, and the staff are very nice.
