The staff were very courteous and helpful, arranging airport transport for an extra fee and offering guidance on local attractions. The location is superb, just a 5‑10 minute walk to Grand Bazaar, Hagia Sophia, and the Blue Mosque. The surrounding area can be pricey, but with a bit of searching you’ll find more affordable spots nearby.

The hotel sits right in the heart of Sultanahmet, close to Grand Bazaar and other major sights, all within walking distance. Breakfast was fairly good, with a decent selection of daily soup, vegetables, and a few hot dishes. The noise was a major issue: we stayed on an upper floor and the vibrations from rooftop equipment made sleeping difficult. For two hours one day there was a power outage and the generator’s roar was so loud that it ruined any chance of rest. The pillows were tiny and uncomfortable. The room itself is tiny, the design feels outdated and in need of repair, and I’m not sure the listed square meters are accurate; cleaning was basic. The hotel has a small spa area, but the pool is tiny and quite cold (called the shock pool), and the wooden sauna is on the verge of breaking—exercise caution.
