The only thing that comes to mind is the location. We booked two vacation apartments for eight people, but the morning we were told they weren’t available. Some guests were supposed to stay 2.5 km away, which we refused. When one person fell ill, it suddenly worked out for the remaining seven. Two women had to share a 1.40 m wide bed! Only on request were upper beds available, no blackout curtains on the ground floor, and the kitchen was barely equipped with dishes (just one coffee cup, three glasses…). There was mold in the shower, no light in the bathroom, and the technical condition was awful: sockets, railings, a broken TV screen hanging on the wall, and so on. Never again.

I stayed here for the second time because I had a training nearby, so the location was perfect. The apartment was clean and the beds comfortable. The kitchen had basic supplies, which I didn’t need. My room was quiet because it faced the back. I always found a parking spot in the nearby residential area. The rooms were fine for sleeping. A Lidl and various fast‑food spots were around the corner. Unfortunately, I didn’t receive any check‑in information beforehand. When I asked, the response was quick, but only the Wi‑Fi password was sent (no other details in the accommodation). The full address, Flöz Sonnenschein 55, is still missing from the listing. I only found one blanket for the bed (the host said it was due to hot summer days). A regular blanket wasn’t in the apartment and wasn’t provided after I requested it, so I had to use a wool blanket from my car. The hallway remains very unfinished, but that didn’t bother me.

Everything was fine, but I can’t really say much more.

Because I was attending an event at the Lohrheide Stadium in Bochum-Wattenscheid, the proximity of the accommodation to the venue was ideal, and it was also convenient for shopping. However, the value for money was completely off. A roughly 15 m² room with minimal, poorly equipped furnishings and a tiny indoor bathroom that still smelled moldy despite ventilation. The bed was less than 2 m long, which was insufficient for my 1.89 m height. There was no coffee machine, only cold water at the sink, and the nearby busy main street made opening the windows nearly impossible. The promised desk was absent, the kettle was tiny, and the room and bathroom showed damage in several spots. A very minimal wardrobe, a very small fridge with reduced cooling capacity, and a bland interior finished the picture of a run‑down mechanic’s room.
