The place feels like a family home, pretty, and the people are pleasant. The breakfast is tasty. The bed isn’t a box spring and the mattress is very soft; my husband and I almost fell off twice because of it. The bathroom is a bit cramped.

We had a peaceful, comfortable stay—exactly what we wanted. The hosts were courteous and helpful, and we enjoyed chatting with them. Breakfast was fantastic, and I’d definitely return.

“Estranho”

The room was comfortable, that’s all. I didn’t feel much privacy; remember this is a house where the owners live and stay there all day, so it felt like I was being watched. Several times the air‑conditioning in the common areas was off, and it gets hot in the city, so the lounge and kitchen were not very comfortable. I also didn’t feel much warmth from the housemates—they seemed a bit dry, and I got the sense I was bothering them just by being there. They appear quite religious, so it’s a more conservative environment. I can’t understand why there are so many good reviews for this place; it doesn’t add up for me. I would have liked to switch to another lodge, but I had already paid, so I stayed.

The hosts’ attention, care, and kindness are beyond words. The homemade breakfast is sensational, and because I’m gluten‑restricted, Dona Carmeluce made gluten‑free options for me. Highly recommended!
