The front‑desk staff welcomed us with open arms and were very friendly, and the room was comfortable and clean. The breakfast area, however, felt very hectic; it would help to schedule guests or set up a queue at the entrance.

I enjoyed the very good breakfast, but there were no trash bins on the table and the dinner selection could have been broader. In the room I found a shoehorn and a safe, which was a bit odd.

The hotel is very centrally located yet quiet, with direct access to the U‑bahn and buses, and the Binnenalster, Rathaus, and Speicherstadt are within walking distance. The breakfast was on par with the hotel’s rating. However, there were too few storage spaces for clothes—only four hangers for two people and a single mini‑locker. When I requested a towel change and toilet paper (the staff declined service), I had to push and carry it myself. The staff entered the room without knocking even though we had not ordered service, which was very uncomfortable as we were resting in bed in the afternoon.
