The room had a double bed, a large bunk bed, and the bathroom was fine; the lock was a bit hard to close with the padlock but it didn’t bother me. The furniture around the fire pit was very, very deteriorated and looked neglected; the beach area had a lot of trash and also seemed neglected.

The staff was friendly and the location was good, beach front, but the receptionist didn’t know about credit card payments or the VAT exception for non‑Ecuadorian citizens, so I had to wait with my family almost 30 minutes for her boss’s approval; the room had gaps between the screen door and the door jamb, letting mosquitoes in, and there were some spider webs.

I liked the beach area, but they charge an extra fee for early check‑in that isn’t mentioned in the app, which I think is unfair; they also add $10 for bringing a dog (as TPCO says) and the staff seem annoyed and treat you differently if you have a pet—if they’re not really friendly, don’t claim otherwise, and the place is somewhat dirty with a lot of dead insects; having insects is natural, but the mess isn’t negotiable.
