La Bandita Country Hotel, a restored 1830 farmhouse on a 2‑hectare estate south of Siena, offers rustic rooms with original wood‑beamed ceilings, terracotta floors and private bathrooms. A friendly welcome and a good breakfast, thanks to the smiling staff. The restaurant was closed after a long trip, so we had to go out again in the evening for dinner. The shower and toilet are on the upper floor, forcing us to use a very steep and risky staircase – why wasn’t that mentioned beforehand?

The themed rooms and the well‑maintained structure were great, yet the pool was poorly maintained and dirty.

The location was perfect, a true paradise. Surrounded by greenery and away from any noise, we spent a wonderful day in the pool, then the staff recommended an excellent meat‑and‑crouton dinner not far from the property. Breakfast was generous. I highly recommend it to anyone looking to recharge.
