“Very basic accomodation if you lack alternatives”
The location is fine for basic shopping: Navin Mansion sits next to Big C Extra on Pattaylang in Central Pattaya. I’ve seen other reviews about cleanliness, but my room was cleaned satisfactorily every day with fresh towels, soap, toilet paper, and two bottles of water. The maid was a nice friendly lady. The air‑con was OK, and the internet speed was acceptable. On arrival around 12 noon I had to wait until 2 pm before check‑in unless I paid an extra fee. I could understand this if the place was busy, but it was almost deserted and I saw only a handful of guests during my 14‑day stay, even though the hotel has about 50 rooms. The woman at reception was not remotely friendly—perhaps she was tired from working all day. There are restaurants and coffee shops nearby but not a lot of variety. Pattayaklang is not on the Baht Bus route, so you need to book a Bolt Taxi to go anywhere. The room lacks a hot water kettle or microwave. The TV is small, ancient, not a flat screen, and has no HDMI port, so I couldn’t plug in my Fire Stick to watch English‑language streaming channels. The “Down” channel button on the remote didn’t work. The bed came with a very rough horsehair blanket and only two ultra‑soft pillows that lacked support. The solid‑wood headboard had raised edges that hurt my head when I sat in bed to watch movies on my laptop. The lobby is a big open area with potential for a coffee shop or small restaurant, but it’s completely under‑utilised. In short, the room is OK for sleeping, but otherwise I was uncomfortable and spent the whole day outside.
