We exceeded our expectations with a beautiful, characterful house, a large lounge and dining room, a comfortable bedroom with an outstanding view over the grounds, and a hot, powerful shower; there was nothing negative.

I loved the style and spaciousness of the main house; the food was delicious and fresh, using fruits from the large garden; Louise and her girls were gracious hosts; I loved walking down the shaded lanes, taking a dip in the pool, using the hammocks, the hotseback ride, and watching the sunset with a sip of Malbec; the wifi was excellent and the beds were comfy.

La Tomasa is a charming working farm that dates back to the 1800s; the staff are excellent hosts—friendly, attentive, and always looking for ways to enhance the stay; the full-board food was superb, with lots of fresh produce grown on the property and a delicious asado on the last day; there was plenty to do—horse riding, biking, a nice pool, and the animals were always entertaining; Rute 3 has become a truck highway to the south, but it’s far enough from the house (about 0.5 km or 1/3 mile) that the noise was not obtrusive.

The staff were super friendly, and the rooms were really well-maintained - a great start to our stay. The food was also top bill, no complaints there. However, we did have a bit of a rough ride getting here, especially on route 3 which was in pretty poor condition - avoid coming in the dark if you can. Overall, though, a great experience.

This place was amazing - the house was beautifully decorated, with not a detail out of place. The hosts were warm and welcoming, made us feel right at home. One minor quibble was that it wasn't entirely clear where to go when we first arrived, could have done with a bit more signage to show us the way.
