When we checked in, we noticed the air‑con temperature was off. We told the staff that the unit had a problem, but they insisted it was fine. In the end the room stayed hot all night.

The front desk staff were friendly and spoke English, and the price was reasonable for a decent overall experience. Walking to Pantai Cenang takes about 10 minutes, and the owner even showed us a shorter route. Water was supplied, but the bed was a bit uncomfortable, which feels like a fair trade‑off for the cost.
The venue is a 10‑minute walk from Pantai Cenang beach but sits right on the road. The room was in a deplorable state: the sheets were dirty, stained and had holes on all three beds. There was a major cleanliness issue with the bedding and the room itself. A leak came from the toilet and the flush was broken. The room had no Wi‑Fi or hair dryer, even though those were advertised. We were supposed to stay three days but left after one night because the accommodation was unacceptable. After reporting the problems to reception, the host didn’t come to inspect; he merely nodded and let us leave without attempting a fix.

I loved that there was a Coway machine—Langkawi is so hot and humid, having easy access to cold water really made the trip easier.
