The place is in a good spot. It felt cramped, the shower didn’t drain, and the room wasn’t clean. The carpet was peeling at the edges, the electricals were unreliable and knocked my fan out of commission, and the place was mouldy and dirty. There were a lot of flies and the windows barely opened.

The location is great—just a two‑minute walk to the bus stop that takes you into Nottingham city centre. The flat had everything you need, the fridge‑freezer was good, but the water gets cold quickly. All kitchen equipment was present. Constant insects and spiders appeared when I opened the small window. The shower was awful; water took forever to drain and there was a stench from the bathroom. The walls are thin, so you can hear other rooms above you, and every time the taps or toilet are used, the pipes make a massive loud noise.

The facility’s equipment and location are excellent. The only downside was that the property supplied a small amount of toiletries and a limited supply of toilet paper.

The hotel is close to the university. On the ground floor the air is stale and the bathroom’s vent is leaking.

The location is 5–10 minutes from the centre and five minutes from the attraction we were visiting in Nottingham. Wi‑Fi is of reasonable speed and consistent. Check‑in was smooth, with no issues with the codes for the key safes, whether they were outside the building or inside each studio. We had three rooms. Everything feels a bit tired and worn, and the shower rooms and toilets are small and cramped. The bedding is clean, but the pillows underneath look old, worn, and sweat‑stained. In my room the shower head needs a deep clean or a replacement; the bracket that holds it can’t support its weight and just flops, so you either have to hold the shower head and clean yourself one‑handed, or wedge it in and have it spray water in your face. My friend in room 3 had a dreadful night on Friday; his room was next to the adjoining house and he could hear the house party that started at 3 am. While I understand the venue can’t control their neighbours, they could invest in soundproofing so guests aren’t impacted. The other member of my party in room 1 could hear everything going on above again, so soundproofing would help there too. He also reported that, being below ground, his shower basin wouldn’t drain; the only way he could get it to work was to get out and flush the toilet to activate the pump.
