“Was ok but the van could definitely feel more like ‘home for the weekend’ rather than bare.”
I liked the spot near the pool, shop, and bar, the deck for sunset watching, and that the van didn’t intrude into the opposite van’s living room. The shower ran cold midway through use. The van feels bare—no cup coasters or placemats, unlike other vans we’ve rented that usually include a throw, a book, or a game. It’s unclear whether stripping the bed and disposing of your own rubbish is a requirement; it feels like you’re paying for that privilege. Utensils and cooking pans are provided, but the heavily stained plastic measuring jug should be replaced soon. The strict instructions on how to leave the van felt off; a standard should exist in the first place. An open bag of peas in the freezer and food marks on the kitchen seats are unacceptable. There’s no storage in the bathroom, no towel rack, and no hand towel; the information said bring your own bath towels. A shower mat to prevent slips and a floor mat for stepping out would be advisable. The boiler service date is out of date and marked overdue.
