We really enjoyed our stay at No3. If you’re thinking of booking, this is an excellent place to spend a few nights in Lewis. The host was friendly and welcoming. The room was ideal for a couple—good size and very clean. Breakfast was generous and well presented; you won’t leave hungry in the morning. The location on the outskirts of Stornoway is convenient for the town itself and the road connections to the rest of the island. We would happily recommend No3 to anyone looking for a good‑quality B&B in this area. There was nothing we didn’t like about the B&B itself, and Lewis is spectacular (though windy!). If you’re new to Stornoway, be aware that there seem to be very limited restaurant options for evening meals—booking in advance is advisable.

“Lovely and personalised”

Olive is extremely attentive and well informed, and can help plan your day. Regarding breakfast, she’s fairly flexible with your requests, which makes for a very personalized stay. There was nothing negative.

We had a truly great stay in Stornoway and felt very comfortable from the start. Our host was exceptionally friendly, helpful, and attentive, going out of his way to make our stay as pleasant and unforgettable as possible. The accommodation was clean, cozy, and exactly what we were looking for on the Isle of Lewis. The quiet atmosphere and beautiful surroundings made our stay perfect. Thank you for the warm hospitality and the many small touches that made our stay special. We really enjoyed our time on Lewis and would love to come back anytime. The host is charming. She’s attentive to your needs at all times, the house was very clean, and the breakfast she made was fabulous. Totally recommended.

Great breakfast—my friend said it was the best during our whole trip—incl. fresh fruit, salami, cheese, and a typical Scottish dish served in a breakfast room just for us. Olive was a great host: friendly and attentive without ever being intrusive. She gave us a large thermos for tea or coffee for our day trip and advised us to bring drinks because the island is sparsely populated and there are very few shops or cafés along the way.
