The K Club, Straffan, is a 5-star hotel set on 550 acres of mature parkland with the River Liffey flowing through. It features 127 luxurious bedrooms, 3 restaurants, The K Spa with indoor pool and gym, and 2 championship golf courses designed by Arnold Palmer. The hotel offers golf tuition, horse riding, and other activities, and is 30 minutes from Dublin Airport and city centre.

Breakfast was fresh and made to order, which I loved, and dinner at the Palmer was reasonably priced; the Guinness was spot‑on. The only downside was that we weren’t given toast at breakfast on either morning.

The service was amazing—I just sent the hotel an email to thank them. In my humble opinion, it’s the best hotel in Ireland.

The room was stunning, overlooking the gardens. Dinner at the Palmer room was delicious and the staff were very attentive. They were outstanding, making no task too difficult. An exceptional hotel—loved it.

Everyone on the staff was friendly and helpful. The room was spacious and the bed very comfortable, and the bathroom was excellent with good Voya products. We dined at the main casual fine‑dining restaurant and every detail was executed flawlessly, from the butter with Himalayan salt to the French fries. The only issue was the usual overheating of rooms; it’s common everywhere, and as someone who tends to be cold, it felt like I was being slow‑cooked.
