The annex was very well maintained. The large modern bathroom was comfortable. The beds were cozy. The accommodation itself was very well situated on the hiking trail. The breakfast was sufficient and tasty. The whole property is very tidy and quiet.

Good location, sauna, comfortable bed. Unfortunately no smart TV. No small comforts like salt or tea. No coffee machine in the room and coffee is only available for an extra charge at the restaurant. Overall it did not feel like home, which is usually expected from apartments in this price range.

We booked the studio on the top floor with garden view on the same day with a discount; the kitchenette in the studio was great; the breakfast buffet was tasty; fried eggs were prepared on request; late check‑in with a key‑safe was convenient; the staff were nice; the sauna is heated on request from 17 – 20 h; great – even after that the sauna is still usable with reduced heat – the small sauna hut is idyllically located in the garden by the pond; with a car there is a good starting point for the two parts of the Saxon Switzerland National Park (without a car it is rather difficult); good parking situation on the premises; everything is very clean and well maintained; note – as shown in the photo the studio on the top floor has sloping ceilings that make access from one side to the bed (very good mattresses) especially difficult for large or less mobile people – I usually come into bed from the foot side – it worked fine that way; Pension Waldidylle is pleasantly quiet; dinner is not offered; cleaning (included in the price) is only carried out on request – I find that sensible, we did not need the service. We would have liked to stay longer. It was a fantastic vacation, also thanks to the lovely hotel.
