Great public transport links, excellent trail access, a clean, small, cozy place, a very friendly host, a tasty breakfast, a nice café right next door—two women over 50 recommend it and we had a wonderful hiking holiday with light luggage 👍😃.

The rooms are very clean and prepared each morning. The host is very friendly and gives many tips and recommendations for interesting hikes. Hiking tours to the Elbe Sandstone Mountains can start directly from the pension. Bad Schandau is reachable by bus in a few minutes. Breakfast is generous and excellent. In the pension’s café, there is ice cream, coffee, and cake in the afternoon. A village shop and a restaurant are in the immediate vicinity.

“Jederzeit gerne wieder!”

The “Pension am Lindenbaum” sits beside the Kirnitzschtal in Lichtenhain on a main road, easily reachable by car and public transport, with free parking and a bus stop at the house. Everything is very clean, well maintained, and quiet. The rooms are spacious, bright, and newly furnished. Daily cleaning is provided, and towel changes are available on request. The on‑site café is warmly decorated and offers tasty homemade cakes; breakfast is taken there and is fully sufficient and varied for a pension, with excellent coffee and plenty of fresh fruit. The innkeeper is friendly and helpful. It would be nice to have a sign at the courtyard entrance for check‑in.

We really liked it; everything fit our needs. Breakfast was very good, everything was very clean, public transport connections were good, the operator is very nice, and we would spend our vacation there again anytime. Everything met our satisfaction :)

The base is great for exploring the area. The rooms are large, clean, cleaned daily, and very well equipped. The breakfasts are excellent.
