Good Ol Days Resort

“Amazing, we definitely want to come back and stay again.”

The location was perfect, a short walk to Nassau and along the lake. The beach and docks at the resort were nice—great swimming and dock fishing with toddlers and kids. The kid playset was amazing and clearly visible from our patio. Kayaks and paddle boards with life vests were easy to borrow at the front desk. Breakfast options were solid with good coffee. One night we had loud neighbors until late, but that was a one‑off; overall the resort was very family friendly and everything else was wonderful.

Nisswa’s spot is spot on, but the chairs in the room could use an upgrade.

“Room clean. Staff very accommodating and pleasant.”

The place was clean and kept in good shape, yet the room’s temperature control unit was obnoxiously loud, cycling on and off every 20‑30 minutes, which made sleeping tough, and the bed was too soft; the only chair in the sitting area was child‑size.

“OK for a short stay, but kitchenette will need some additions for longer stays.”

The location was great - so close to the bike path and within walking distance to downtown Nisswa. The deck was nice with chairs provided. The shower was good. It looked newer than the rest of the accommodations. The staff was pleasant and welcoming. The beach was nice. The kitchenette was not well supplied. There were 4 plates. that's it! No bowls for eating or covered bowls for storing items in the refrigerator. No utensils for eating. No knives for slicing. A toaster would have been nice too. There were plenty of cupboards for storing things, but nothing to put into them. There were plenty of bed pillows, which was appreciated because I needed to lay on them to get to sleep. The bed was quite hard. Some people might appreciate a firm mattress. Part of the electrical outlet by the bed was inoperable. The lamps seemed very old and the lighting was insufficient, especially at night for reading
